While I work towards my first purple climb, I will reminisce about the time I got my first blue graded climb. It was the climb pictured in the photo below. I remember I had worked at that climb for weeks before I got it. I always got to the move pictured but I could never make the final move until finally when I did. I can’t wait until I get to this point on a purple graded climb. There is one in the gym I am working on right now. I need to use a toe hook though, and I struggle with using those. Climbing is also such a mental game for me. I get scared when making big moves when I am high up on the wall. I have had my foot slip before and had some gnarly falls. Here’s hoping I get my first purple soon! I will attach some more toe hook tips that I am working on.
